Phonics Box

To the child, alphabets may appear Funny! Strange! Baffling! Bizarre! How then do we teach them to read, write and express themselves

Well, we created the Phonics Box containing attractive colour-coded letter cards designed to make the child’s first exposure to letters a delightful experience.

The Phonics Box as part of the language curriculum will help children explore and create the symbol-sound relationship of letters. Contrary to the conventional ‘a’ to ‘z’ or ‘क’ to ‘ज्ञ’ sequence children will be introduced to letters in clusters. Each cluster, colour-coded differently, contains letters having distinct sounds and forms.

As the children master each cluster they begin forming simple words based on their understanding of the relationship between letter-sound. We must not rush to correct them, rather encourage them to form as many words as they can.

As your child embarks upon this amazing journey of discovering relationship between sounds and their symbols and forming meaningful and usable words, I wish you and your child a delightful adventure of learning letters and words.
